Babysitting | CPR Certification

The Purpose of the Child And Babysitting Safety (CABS) Trainings is to provide youth ages 11-15 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians.

This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety, safe play, and CPR/First Aid.

Learn How to:

Supervise children and infants.
Perform basic child-care skills
Choose safe, age-appropriate games and toys.
Handle bedtime and discipline issues.
Identify safety hazards and prevent injuries.
Care for common injuries.
Communicate effectively with parents.
Find and interview for babysitting jobs.
Learn to respond to emergencies.
CPR/First Aid

2024 Class Dates:

Class is 9 AM - 2 PM at Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA

  • June 1st
  • September 7th
  • December 7th

Participants must complete training to receive certification.

Program Fee: $150 | Please bring your own lunch

Register a month before class, to get the online portion of CPR/First Aid done. An email will be sent out for the training.
